STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colorado (WUSA) -- Over the past 29 years, almost 80,000 students have come to Steamboat Springs Colorado. They did not come to ski, but rather to drive. More specifically they came to learn how to drive better and safer in winter conditions. Steamboat Springs is home to the Bridgestone Winter Driving School. It's the only school of its kind in North America.
Law enforcement personnel, fire/rescue squads, truckers and high-schoolers are just some of the attendees of the Bridgestone Winter Driving School. Learning how to control a vehicle on a snowy and/or icy road can be potentially life saving.
