UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (WUSA) -- A man has been arrested and charged with attempted first degree murder and other offenses for shooting a man in the buttocks in Capitol Heights, Md. in 2011, according to the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office.
According to sheriff's office authorities, Anthony Davis was arrested Jan. 20 in Southeast D.C. He is charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Use of a Firearm during a Felony Crime, Second Degree Assault, and Possession of a Handgun for a shooting that happened on Cindy Lane in Capitol Heights.
According to charging documents, Davis shot a male victim in the buttocks while in the area of Cindy Lane. The Prince George's County Police Department issued a warrant on Oct. 15, 2011.
Davis will be transferred from the District of Columbia to the Prince George's County Department of Corrections.
