ACCOKEEK, Md. (WUSA) -- Accokeek Road has reopened after an overnight tractor-trailer crash brought down a utility pole across the roadway.
Maryland State Police say the tractor trailer hit the pole on Accokeek Road near Bealle Hill Road around 2:16 Tuesday morning. The driver was not seriously injured.
The road was closed in both directions while Verizon crews worked to replace the pole. The road reopened to morning traffic just before 6:00 a.m.
