CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (WUSA) -- A Maryland man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing an acquaintance who was later pronounced dead behind an apartment complex trash receptacle in Capitol Heights.

Twenty-eight-year-old Jamik Mathew Sumby was charged with first degree murder for the death of 31-year-old Perry Earl Hunt.

According to Prince George's County Police, Sumby and Hunt were acquaintances and Hunt was stabbed during an altercation with Sumby at another location before Hunt was found unresponsive behind the dumpster last Friday morning in the 1400 block of Doewood Lane.

Sumby is being held without bond.
