COLUMBIA, Md. (WUSA9) -- Monday morning, Maryland Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown officially announced Howard County executive Ken Ulman as his running mate in the race for governor.
Brown made the announcement first in Columbia.
According to his website, at the age of 32 Ulman was the youngest County Executive ever elected in Maryland (http://www.kenulman.com). He was also one of the first babies born at the Howard County General Hospital. Ulman earned his bachelor's degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
Ulman had also considered running for governor in 2014.
Brown is expected to face several opponents in the Democratic primary, including Attorney General Doug Gansler, Montgomery county Delegate Heather Mizeur and Congressman Dutch Rupersberger.
