Woman sexually assaulted, beaten near bridge in Md.

ANNAPOLIS (WUSA9) -- A woman was sexually assaulted in a wooded area adjacent to College Creek Bridge on Tuesday morning, according to Annapolis police.

Police say that a man she was acquainted with punched and kicked her repeatedly before sexually assaulting her sometime before 1:48 a.m. The woman lives in a tent where she was assaulted and her attacker was an acquaintance, say police.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center, according to police.
