WANTED: DC police searching for 17-year-old in the murder of 16-year-old

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - DC police need your help searching for 17-year-old Victor Hernandez, a suspect in the murder of a 16-year-old boy in NW.

The homicide happened November 7 on the 1300 block of Rittenhouse Street, NW at around 8 p.m. Police found one man adult and one teen suffering from gunshot wounds and transported both to nearby hospitals. 

The teenager died from his injuries, and the adult survived. 

Police identified the teenage victim as 16-year-old Yoselis Regino Barrios.

Kevin Sorto, 20, was arrested on November 22 and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed for the teen's death. 

Police need help another suspect, 17-year-old Victor Hernandez. He is a Hispanic male, with brown eyes, and black hair. He stands at approximately 5’5”, 165 lbs.

He is wanted for First Degree Murder while Armed.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by sending a text message to 50411.
