ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- Virginia Department of Transportation officials say that at 11 p.m. Friday night, crews will close the HOV lanes on I-395/95 from the D.C. line to the end in Dumfries (Route 234). The lanes will reopen at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Springfield interchange to Dumfries.
Officials also say the HOV northern section between D.C. and Springfield will stay closed until 4 p.m. Sunday.
VDOT will close one left lane on I-395 south between Seminary Road and the Capital Beltway (I-495) at 11 p.m. Friday night to 9 a.m. Saturday, then again on Saturday from 9 p.m. until 10 a.m. Sunday morning.
Crews will be drilling foundations for sign structures, drainage work along with grading, and barrier work during this time.
