GAINESVILLE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Police are searching for a suspect after an attempted burglary, on Monday, police said.

It happened at 2:05 P.M. at a home on the 6900 block of Stanwick Sqare. in Gainesville, Va., police said

The homeowner reported the burglary after seeing a man remove the screen on a rear window. The suspect ran away after the homeowner confronted him, according to Police. 

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is a black male, between 15 & 22 years of age, 5'10", 140lbs, thin build. He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a black jacket and a white shirt over his face with blue gloves and a backpack, police said.
