SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WUSA) -- A 77-year-old man has been arrested for sexually assaulting on an 11-year-old girl, police said. 

Jimmie Will Rodgers, 77, of Spotsylvania County, is being accused of sexually assaulting the young girl between April and August, police said.

The investigation began on August 16, when a relative found inappropriate and provocative pictures in Rodgers' bedroom and reported them to the Sheriff's Office. 

Rodgers is being charged with three counts of animate object sexual penetration and two counts of aggravated sexual battery on a child less than 13 years of age.
