CULPEPER, Va. (WUSA) -- A man arrested for allegedly robbing and pistol-whipping another man inside an apartment in May faces five more charges.
Twenty-five-year-old Terell Poteat now faces additional charges for armed burglary, abduction, conspiracy to commit robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and brandishing a firearm.
Poteat and 18-year-old Christina Jenkins are accused of robbing a Culpeper man of money that he was saving to play for a relative's funeral on May 19. The man was treated for a facial injury and released from the hospital.
Poteat was arrested in Albemarle County on May 27. Jenkins surrendered at police headquarters the next day.
