MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA) -- Yorkshire Elementary School was placed on "secure-the-building mode" after a burglary was reported in the area, report school spokesperson Irene Cromer and other authorities. The school has now been given the all clear by police.
Cromer says that the school in the 7600 block of Old Centreville Road was placed in that mode at approximately 11:50 a.m. Wednesday as a precaution. She says that students and staff are safe.
Authorities say three men ran from the scene of the burglary.
Police gave the school the all clear and the mode has been lifted, reports Cromer.
