LEESBURG, Va. (WUSA) -- A man involved in a crash and who was then sent to the emergency room, fled the hospital but was later caught along Route 15.
Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and the Leesburg Police Department officials say they went on a hunt for a man who fled from the Emergency Room at the Cornwall Campus of INOVA Loudoun Hospital.
Authorities says Elliot D. Lansdown was wanted on charges out of Maryland and is unarmed.
According to authorities, Lansdown was involved in a crash on Route 15 around 5:48 a.m. Friday and was believed to be intoxicated. After the crash he was taken to the emergency room where he became combative with staff and fled the hospital, say authorities.
Residents in the area were told to lock their doors and stay inside until he was found.
Lansdown was later found in Leesburg at Edwards Ferry Road and Route 15
