RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- The Virginia town at the epicenter of last month's 5.8-magnitude earthquake is competing to win a free concert by country singer Alan Jackson.
Eventful.com is sponsoring the competition. It promises the location with the most votes wins the concert, as long as it can fulfill Jackson's production requirements and accommodate from 1,000 to 3,000 fans.

Jackson's website says fans have until Oct. 10 to vote. It does not say when the concert would be held.
Currently Mineral ranks third with nearly 4,000 votes. It trails the Kansas City area, with nearly 7,000 votes, and Minot, N.D., which has more than 5,200 votes.
Charleston, W.Va., ranks fourth with nearly 2,900 votes, followed by Ronkonkoma, N.Y., with more than 2,200.
Emergency officials used social networking to urge Virginians to vote for Mineral.
