Trash and recycling collections in DC affected by storm

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Trash and recycling collections in the District have been hindered due to the recent snowstorm, the Department of Public Works said.

Their crews are most affected in alleys where more than 70 percent of collections are made. Officials said residents whose collections are scheduled for Thursday or Friday are asked to 'put their trash and/or recycling out for collection. If collections are not made, residents are asked to hold onto their trash and/or recycling until their next regularly scheduled collection day.'
