TRAFFIC ALERT: Weekend delays in Loudoun County

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (WUSA9) -- The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office wants residents to know that several events this weekend may cause traffic delays.

Sheriff's office authorities say that there will be increased traffic on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the area of the Dulles Town Center due to an event. The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, a 5K race will be held in the area of Creighton Road and Minerva Drive from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., say officials.

There will also be increased traffic for event on Saturday in the area of One Loudoun from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Drivers on Dry Mill Road on Saturday should expect increased traffic and possibly delays in the area of the Loudoun County Fairgrounds for an event held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. , according to officials.

Saturday evening there will be a 5K race held in the area of Ashburn Village Boulevard and Russell Branch Parkway from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
