Silver Alert canceled for 84-year-old man

COLUMBIA, Md. (WUSA9) -- Howard County police say they have found an 84-year-old man from Columbia who prompted them to issue a Silver Alert.

Police say Seyed Ahmad Ghozati was last seen by a family member at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday when he left their home in the 7500 block of Summer Leave Lane in Columbia to make a delivery in Ellicott City for a courier service. Police say after making the delivery he used the push-to-talk feature on his cell phone several times to call his boss and say he was lost. Ghozati sought directions to get back to his house.

The last time Ghozati called his boss was around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, saying he was somewhere on Rt. 175 near Rt. 3 in Anne Arundel County, according to police.

Late Wednesday morning, Howard County police said they found Ghozati in his vehicle in Susquehanna State Park in Harford County. He was found safe and unharmed.
