Road reopens hours after water main break in Md.

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Water is back on and the street has reopened after a water main break in Hyattsville.

The 12-inch main broke at approximately 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, says WSSC spokesperson Lyn Riggins. WSSC crews arrived at the scene to repair it.

Powder Mill Road was closed between Knollwood and Pleasant Acres Drive but reopened as soon as crews finished cleaning up the area shortly before 6:55 a.m. Wednesday.
