WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - Eighteen to 50-year-olds, also known as Millennials and Gen Xers. These age groups are now the majority of eligible voters in this country -- surpassing Baby Boomers and older generations.

This is according to new data released by the Pew Research Center earlier this week. You can bet the presidential candidates want them, especially Millennials.

WUSA9 teamed up with the School of Communication at American University for a project called "Campaign 2016 U."  Every Thursday we will sit in on a class, lead by Professor Lenny Steinhorn, and hear young people analyze this presidential election season.

WUSA9 will live streaming these classes from 10 a.m. through 11:30.a.m. for the next 10 weeks. It can be found at the top of the WUSA9 website every Thursday.

Sept. 1 was the first day of class. Hot topics included undercover Trump voters, voicing support for Trump and getting Millennials to vote.
