Police: Woman choked relative then threw dog gate at her

ANNAPOLIS (WUSA9) -- A woman is being held on $750,000 bond after an assault on a relative in Annapolis involving a dog gate, say police.

According to Annapolis Police Department officials, 21-year-old Mamadou Bah was arrested after grabbing a female relative by the throat and then choking her on Saturday morning. Bah is then accused of kicking her relative and throwing a dog gate at her before threatening to stab her with a kitchen knife, say police.

The relative was able to run out of the home. A neighbor called police.

Police say Bah is charged with first and second degree assault, possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure, reckless endangerment, and destruction of property.

She is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.
