Police to give update on 2012 Amber Stanley murder

KETTERING, Md. (WUSA9) -- The Prince George's County Police Department is expected to give an update on the investigation into the murder of Amber Stanley on Thursday.

The seventeen-year-old was found shot inside her home in the 100 block of Chartsey Street in Kettering on August 22, 2012. Police said the honor roll student was killed when a gunman kicked in the door to her bedroom and shot her several times.

Police are still looking for her killer. Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspect.
