Police: Man struck, killed by car was not in crosswalk

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County police say a man who was struck by a car on Ager Road in Hyattsville this weekend was not in a crosswalk at the time.

According to police, 30-year-old Bruce Coppage walked into the path of a car headed southbound in the 5500 block of Ager Road on Saturday before 3:45 a.m. Police say Coppage was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

They say the driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
