Police look for home invasion suspects near UMD

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Hyattsville police are looking for two people who forced their way into a home in the 7500 block of Adelphi Rd. in Hyattsville early Thursday morning and stole property from four men.

According to Lt. Chris Purvis, the incident was reported at approximately 12:33 a.m. Purvis says the two suspects wore ski masks and entered the house at the same time through different doors.

Once inside, they forced four males in their early twenties to the ground. The suspect demanded wallets, cell phones, computers and other property, says Purvis.

No one was injured during the home invasion.

Police are working to determine whether or not that home was specifically targeted.

At this time, the police have not been able to confirm if the victims were students from nearby University of Maryland.
