Police: Car smashed through window in attempted burglary

FORESTVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police in Prince George's County are investigating an attempted burglary of a CVS where the suspects used a vehicle to smash into the storefront.

Corporal Nate Lewis, spokesman for the Prince George's County Police Department, says the suspects crashed a vehicle into the front window of the CVS located in the 7000 block of Marlboro Pike between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. on Monday.

According to Corporal Lewis, the burglars did not get away with the ATM. It is unclear whether or not anything else was taken.

At this time there is no description available of the suspects or vehicle used to destroy the storefront.

A building instructor will have to determine whether or not the store is safe to enter later Monday morning.
