Police: Burglars fired a shot into wall before fleeing

PASADENA, Md. (WUSA9) -- After a resident spotted three burglars in his home, they fled but not before firing a shot into a wall, say Anne Arundel County Police.

The incident happened at approximately 11:42 p.m. Monday in the 1800 block Poplar Ridge Road in Pasadena.

A resident told police that he, his wife and their grandson were asleep in the home when they heard noises. He said he left his bedroom to investigate and yelled out that he was armed with a shotgun, say police. Then, the suspects fired a shot from a firearm into a wall before fleeing with a laptop computer and some other items.

Police say the victims were only able to provide a limited description of the suspects. The first suspect was described as a male wearing a white t-shirt and jeans. The second suspect was a male with all dark clothing. There was no description for the third suspect.
