Switch Problem Causes Metro Delays, Lines

Metro is advising customers to expect abnormally long delays on the Red Line on Wednesday morning, thanks to a switch problem at Judiciary Square. WMATA officials say crews are working to replace a piece of rail at the switch point. Repairs are expected to completed around 8:00 a.m. Due to the unscheduled track work, Red Line trains are single tracking between Farragut North and Union Station.
