RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia is observing Veterans Day by closing state government offices and courts. Some localities also are closing their offices for the federal holiday.
Federal government offices will be closed and there will be no postal delivery. Banks also will close to observe the holiday. Most colleges and schools are open.
Several events were held Sunday to mark Veterans Day. And a small ceremony will be held today at the Virginia Wall of Honor. The wall is in the lobby of the office of the attorney general in Richmond.
