MIDDLETOWN, Md. (WUSA) -- Frederick County Fire and Sheriff investigators arrested two boys, ages 11 and 12, after they allegedly set two homes on fire yesterday.

The two homes were on Wagon Shed Lane in the Glen Brook subdivision. Both were under construction and about one month from completion and were totally destroyed.

Investigators say there was an arson attempt on a third house. Juvenile vandalism is the apparent motive.

The boys were arrested then released to the custody of their parents pending further action by the Department of Juvenile Services.
