After being diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, 31-year-old Dale Thomas decided to turn his fight into a crusade for others with the disease.
Thomas is trying to get Virginia to establish a "brain tumor awareness" license plate. If 350 people agree to get one, and pay $25 before Nov. 1, the DMV will add it to the list of specialty plates. And in the future, $15 from each plate sold will go toward brain tumor research.
