The hole in the door gives one Dale City family a whole new view of a life they've carefully avoided. Arlita Hines just moved to this brand new townhouse community because it seems clean and low crime. Her sister and her nephews are living here until their house across the street is ready. But at 6am on Wednesday their serenity came crashing down.

At first, Lisa's 19-year-old son thought the intruders were criminals and ran to get a knife from the kitchen. He says the marshals ordered him to the kitchen floor at gunpoint and handcuffed him. His younger brother was next.

Their 20-year-old sister was also cuffed. The house was tossed and the entire family questioned before marshals realized they were at the wrong place.

One of the suspects did live here - over a year ago. The marshals gave the family some paperwork for their damages, but the event punched a hole in this family that money just won't fill. What they want is an apology.

The family is deeply religious. They tell 9 News none of the three young people who were handcuffed have ever been in trouble. The 20-year-old girl is in college studying medicine, the 19-year-old is a gospel singer and the 17-year-old is a star high school football player.
