A suburban Cleveland, Ohio, mayor is turning down requests from ghost hunters to visit a former hospital and home for the mentally retarded that the city plans to soon tear down.
Mayor Glenn Goodwin denied a request for a night tour at the Broadview Developmental Center this week.
Goodwin said it's too dangerous. Not because of the alleged ghosts, but because of the building's deterioration. It's been closed since 1989.
At least three groups of paranormal investigators want to visit the center at night to prove there are ghosts.
Some investigators said that during a visit outside, they heard a voice telling them to "get out."
A Case Western Reserve physics professor says there isn't any credible evidence of ghosts.
