Two people are in an Illinois jail on charges of animal cruelty for allegedly forcing an eight-week-old puppy to drink vodka. Authorities allege a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy forced a female Labrador retriever-mix to ingest a fifth of vodka. The dog survived. Officials with the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals want the two to be barred from ever owning animals. PETA also seeks a psychological evaluation and counseling. The two are jailed in Macoupin County.
