Meet The Ubersexual

Today there is a new chapter in the never ending story of men trying to figure out what women really want. Beyond the Marlboro man, beyond the New Age Guy, beyond even the Metrosexual is something called the Ubersexual. And with the Uber sexual comes the answer to that age old question: Are you man enough to get your back waxed?

Remember when being a well groomed guy just meant having a shoe shine to go with your five o?clock shadow? When did it all get so complicated?

"You?ve got your Ubersexuals. You?ve got your Metrosexuals."

"A Metrosexual, let?s say will take a shower, use scrub on his hands, use a nail brush, then come out and moisturize his hands - whereas an Ubersexual will just use hand lotion."

"An ubersexual is the Marlboro man with a great shave."

"I haven't graduated to that step yet. I'm old school."

Welcome to the place where old school comes to die - or at least get a facial.

"Back waxes are huge here." Pirooz Sarshar calls himself a grooming guru. His Grooming Lounge is a place where even a man's man can indulge his softer side.

"I've been labeled as a metrosexual. I'm cool with that, but I'm not feminine."

Because that says Sarshar is what scares a lot of men away from the pedicures and the beauty products, when what they really ought to be worried about is scaring away women. "My dating life hasn't been so bad. I?ve tried to settle down a few times, but I think the grooming has stopped me."

Ever since he was a teenager, Pirooz says he's wanted to make men more comfortable with looking and feeling good. He's even come up with his 10 immutable laws of grooming. They include: lose the unibrow and get rid of the funky phone clip on the belt.

I think I just came up number eleven: Real Mean get pedicures, just not today. While the guys we talked to loved the haircuts and the manly ambiance, mostly they were taking a pass on fancier stuff.

"I would probably be a little reluctant for the manicures and pedicures and stuff like that."

Maybe all he needs is a role model.

"I feel like a guy that really is conscious of his footwear and neckwear ought to take car of his toes and hands and nails and the whole nine yards."

Ex-Redskin tight end Rick Walker says if manliness is on the inside, on the outside you want to look good. And even a guy from the Old school can appreciate that.

Pirooz says part of the reason he's still single is that women really appreciate a well groomed man.
