Balls Bluff Cemetery in Leesburg is the site of the slaughter of Union troops. Parts of over 50 bodies are crammed into a semi circle of 25 graves, all but one unknown and maybe undead.
Union leader Colonel Edward Baker led the troops up the Bluffs and through these woods to their death and his own. Tracking reports of unexplained citings, LaRocca videotape his spot.
The Woodlawn Plantation in Alexandria is considered one of the most haunted houses on the East Coast. No one was murdered here, but there is a bassinet that rocked by itself so often, the staff disabled it. And downstairs, a deep well is considered the source of spirit activity.
Some staff are so spooked they won't stay in the house after dark. In a front parlor, there's a recreation of séances held by Woodlawn's last private owner, the wife of Oscar Underwood, who died shortly after buying the home.
