Early birds beware. Next time you decide to save money or time waiting in a Seattle, Washington line just know you could end up losing both.
A die-hard Star Wars fan learned this the hard way. He and his blue sofa have been waiting outside the downtown Cinerama for the release of the new Star Wars movie coming out in May. But he just got kicked off the street because of a longstanding law against anyone sitting or lying on Seattle streets.
Seattle police kicked "Jeff" off the street after an anonymous complaint brought to light a longstanding law against anyone sitting or lying on Seattle streets.
Based on the law, this would mean that Jeff would have to stand 24-hours a day waiting for the movie. So he got a better idea. He moved his couch to the Seattle Center IMAX Theater where they won't kick him out because he's in an area that isn't on a street. Still, he says he won't truly enjoy "Revenge of the Sixth" or his own revenge without knowing one thing, why someone complained in the first place.
Jeff may end up waiting for nothing. So far, it's not guaranteed "Revenge of the Sixth" will make it to the Seattle Center IMAX Theaters. But he'll find out when it debuts in May.
