Man finds stolen items in neighbor's debris after tornado

A home in the Tri-Cities area was right in the path of a tornado Sunday and when the community came to help, they discovered some things they were missing.

When a neighbor came to see if everyone was okay, he found things that had been stolen from him.

Ed Cleek found an air compressor, weed-eater and a welder that he had reported stolen in the pile of debris at Jerrod Christian's home.

Christian is now at the Kingsport City jail on burglary and theft charges.

"The first thing that he noticed was this bright red air compressor that he just reported stolen the day before so obviously his eye was drawn to it," said Thomas Patton with the Kingsport Police Department.

Christian was also arrested the day before on an unrelated issue.

Cleek says he's just happy to get his stuff back.
