WASHINGTON (AP) - Vice President Joe Biden is the flag-bearer today for the administration's gun control efforts and he's heading to Virginia, a state with an avidly pro-gun tradition. 

Biden plans a roundtable discussion in Richmond with experts who worked on gun safety following the 2007 shooting at Virginia Tech.

State lawmakers have been debating a bill to require that private sellers conduct criminal background checks at gun shows.
