WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Which would you prefer: bills in your wallet or coins in your pocket?
The Government Accountability Office will make its case to Congress on Thursday that the dollar coin makes more sense than the dollar bill.
The GAO says although coins cost more to produce they last a lot longer. The agency has been making the same pitch for the last 22 years.
Most Americans, including the vending machine industry and the Federal Reserve, are opposed to the switch.
