WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- More help is on the way for the millions of Americans suffering with Alzheimer's disease.
The Obama Administration is pumping an additional $50 million into Alzheimer's research.
The money will be used to develop better dementia treatments and to help overwhelemed caregivers cope with the demands on them.
Roughly five million Americans suffer from Alzheimer's disease. Barring a medical breakthrough, that number is expected to double in the coming decades.
