VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - The Navy is investigating the death of an officer who collapsed during physical training at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story.
Media outlets report that the Navy announced the death of 28-year-old Thomas C. Fouke on Thursday.
Navy medics treated Fouke at the scene after he collapsed Tuesday afternoon. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The St. Louis native was an information warfare office assigned to the East Coast-based Navy Special Warfare unit. He was commissioned in 2006.
