LA PLATA, Md. (WUSA) -- A reward of up to $6,000 is being offered in Charles County for information leading to an arrest and indictment for the person responsible for a La Plata homicide.

The Charles County Sheriff's Office wants to know more about the homicide of Martin Hawkins Jr. Hawkins was shot and killed on April 18 in the 200 block of Kent Avenue in La Plata.

Detectives say there have been neighborhood canvasses and numerous calls, but investigators still need more information to solve this case. 

The CCSO is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 and Charles County Crime Solvers is also offering an additional reward of up to $1,000 in an effort to get additional information.
