GERMANTOWN, Md. (WUSA) -- Suspects in Germantown bicycle thefts were caught on tape by surveillance cameras, Montgomery County Police said.
"On July 16, 2011, Montgomery County Police 5th District officers were
called to the Germantown Commons Shopping Center located at 13060
Middlebrook Road for the report of a theft. The police officers met
with two victims, who had just returned to their parked vehicle and
discovered their bikes stolen from the vehicle bicycle rack," police said in a news release.
The bicycles stolen are estimated to be worth $7,000 and $1,000 respectively, police said.
"Anyone who may have information about this theft or the suspects
responsible for this crime is asked to call the 5th District
Investigative Section at 240-773-6237," police said.
