Wrong-way driver dies in Md.

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (WUSA9) -- A man who drove the wrong way down I-70 on Sunday night has died, say Maryland State Police.

According to police, 50-year-old Larry Allen Martz of Mayport, Pa. was driving his car westbound on I-70 in the eastbound lanes west of the 1 mile maker at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. his car hit another car head-on.

Police say three people were in the other car. They were all treated at the scene and released.

Martz, however, was flown to Meritus Medical Center and later pronounced dead there.

The road was closed for approximately 3 hours.

Police are still investigating the cause of the collision.
