Woman's death after fire at home ruled as homicide

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Officials have ruled out the death of an elderly woman caused due to Arson, as a homicide.

It happened around 5:50 p.m. on Feb. 13 at the 4600 block of 4th Street, N.W. Officials reported to the three-story row house for a fire. An 80-year-old woman, Lucille Proctor was found inside. She was pronounced death on the scene, police said.

Police arrested an adult male in connection to the Arson on April 1. He has been charged with Arson.

On Friday, May 2, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia ruled the death to be a homicide.
