Argument sparks stabbing of woman, man in SE, DC

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A man and woman who were walking together late Tuesday night were stabbed by a man in Southeast, D.C., Metropolitan police say. 

Police responded to the 5000 block of Call Place SE around 11 p.m. where they found a man lying in the street. 

The investigation shows a man and woman were walking in the area of the 5000 block of D St. when he got into an argument with a male suspect. 

Authorities said the suspect stabbed the man three times. The woman tried to intervene, however was also stabbed. 

Both victims are expect to recover, according to police.
