Va. officer dies in McLean police station parking lot

MCLEAN, VA. (WUSA9) - A FairFax County Police Officer died in the parking lot of the McLean station early Monday morning, the department confirms.  

Dranesville Supervisor John Froust, whose office is in the same facility, said police told him that there is no threat to the public. 

Foust also said the police chief told him that another district would be temporarily covering police response for the McLean district. 

A Fairfax County Police spokesman could not provide any more details at this time, but will continue to investigate.
