CULPEPER COUNTY, Va. (WUSA9) -- The Culpeper County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary that happened at the Va. Norman Grocery Thursday morning.
The Sheriff's Office said, the store is located on Sperryville Pike near the intersection of Norman Rd. The owner, Reva Tutt left the store briefly during the morning. When Tutt returned, the store had been broken into, authorities said.
The burglar or burglars stole an undisclosed amount of money and multiple firearms from the store before they fled, authorities said.
Sheriff Scott Jenkins is asking the public for any information that may lead to finding the individual or individuals responsible for the burglary.
"This business is located on a busy stretch of road. I encourage anyone who recalls seeing suspicious or unusual activity at or near Norman Grocery on Thursday morning to call the Sheriff's Office or Culpeper Crime Solvers," Sheriff Jenkins said.
Information can be provided anonymously through Culpeper Crime Solvers number at 540-727-0300. A reward is offered for information leading to an arrest.
