UPDATE: Law enforcement catches man that escaped VA jail

CULPEPER, Va. (WUSA9) -- Law enforcement officials have captured the man who escaped from jail on Monday, the Culpeper County Sheriff's office reported.

Horace Thompson Owens escaped from the Culpeper County Jail on Monday, the Culpeper County Sheriff's Office said.

Owens is described as a 33-year-old white male with brown hair, brown eyes and tattoos on his left arm, chest, and back. Owens is 5'11" tall and weighs about 180 pounds, the sheriff's office said. Owens was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and shorts, the sheriff's office reported.

Owens is charged with robbery, assault and battery, burglary, abduction and forging bank records.

Owens was caught at about 3:30 p.m. the sheriff's office reported on their Facebook page shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
