Suspects in Va. McDonald's shooting in custody

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Both suspects involved in a shooting that happened Monday night at a Woodbridge McDonald's are now in custody, Prince William County Police said Tuesday evening.

Police announced late Tuesday afternoon that the shooter, DeWayne Williams had been taken into custody.

A female police officer spotted him hiding in the bushes near Lake Montclair just before 5 p.m. Tuesday. She chased him and when she radioed for help, dogs and other officers joined in and finally grabbed him.

Shortly after, authorities said, Jamie Bowyer turned herself in.

The shooting happened around 6:50 p.m. Monday at the McDonald's located at 2891 Dale Blvd. in Woodbridge, Va.

Police searched the area Monday night and throughout Tuesday for the two suspects.
