Suspect sought after stealing car from Va. home

LOUDOUN CO., VA. (WUSA9) - Deputies are looking for a man they say went into the garage of a Va. homeowner and stole their car with a purse inside. 

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened between August 23 and August 24 in the Ashburn area.

According to deputies, the suspect stole a 2016 Honda HR-V while it was parked inside the garage of a house on Powderhorn Court. The keys were left inside the vehicle as well as a purse with credit cards, authorities said. They also say the garage was left open. 

The suspect was later caught on surveillance video in Maryland driving the stolen car and using the credit cards.
